I can confirm that acroread cannot display the contents of the
attached file. I looked at the fonts dialogue in Evince, and it shows
a "strange named" font that is not embedded. Did you try specifying a
particular font, say LM?
No, I don't do anything fancy, it occurs with the simplest documents and
simplest treatment, typically : open a new document, type some text and
click on the icon "Display pdf (Pdflatex)".
As Acrobat Reader is supposed to be the reference for displaying pdf, I find
this very annoying (many correspondents tell me that they can't read my pdf
files).
I join, as an attached file, the pdf output of LyX for the text "Test de
visualisation d'une sortie de LyX avec Acrobat Reader".
