Moin devolopers,
I have two points to propose for the LyX layout files for tufte-latex,
here the first, only regarding tufte-book:
1.
Missing GUI inset of Publisher (book only)
Within the tufte-book.cls there is a essential formating issue:
\publisher{a publisher}, which in output is set in a special tufte
formating on the title page.
It must be given before the \maketitle command.
After some experimenting I could have this effect in LyX with an TeX-inset
in the document window on the first place, i. e. before the Title (so in
LyX' LaTeX after \begin document and before \maketitle.
I would propose to incorporate that in the LyX tufte-book.layout (so that
TeX inset is not necessary). Best if the LyX layout would show for the
user, where he/she has to type it in (then also the Author and Title items
after it). Because Publisher is an essential information for the title
page. (The other way would be TeX inset there - before Author and Title -
or already in the preamble, but the letter is not LyX-like.
In addition I found out, that it is possible to have even two or three
paragraphs within the \publisher{} command, e. g.
------TeX inset-----------
\publisher{Interesting series, 1st volume
\noindent A Publishername - Electronic Publisher
\noindent Berlin 2010}
------------------------------
I suppose, this could be done in LyX (when the GUI possibity for Publisher
is given by the layout file) by the carriage return key, but this I cannot
say for sure.
For the second proposal I'm sending the next post, so that it can
eventually discussed seperately from each other.
