no strict rules; usually the commit access is given to somebody who hangs around the devel list for some time, either submitting bugfixes or developing some particular part of code. what "some" time means is topic of the flame from time to time - ranging from long moths, eg http://www.mail-archive.com/lyx-devel@lists.lyx.org/msg127760.html or the other wing (represented mainly by Abdel) who would give the access at instant:) at the end it usually boils down to some kind of scream like "hey i have no more time to commit for this man, somebody give him the commit access pretty please." >I do remember that the last time there was some > opposition to this integration, so I would prefer to hear some more > opinions first. i dont think you will hear anything new - the basic issue stands exactly the same as in the begining: it is wrong idea to produce html output by parsing .lyx native format and it would be pita to adjust or check the script for every fileformat change we do - now this pita is yours, once we officially include elyxer and you disappear after two or three years the pita is ours :) pavel
