i think you are wrong - imho standard is to filter mail message for something 
like
Mailing-List: line in the header and push those messages in special folder.
no active filtering needed...

now i get needlessly two mails in two different folders. its easy for me to
solve the issue above - i will simply push everything for sa...@lyx to that
folder, drawback is that once i stop read the list for some time people wont be
able to contact me even when i really should read that... which i dont want
to do.

actually i think you dont understand my usecase...
my intuition is that reply-to should be used only in special cases like the
ones i depicted before. another case comming to my mind is when i reply
to some very old thread - some web interface wont show this...

i dont insist on anything. i would be just more happy, its up to you if you
want to respect it. this is not big issue for me.
