i think you are wrong - imho standard is to filter mail message for something like Mailing-List: line in the header and push those messages in special folder. no active filtering needed... now i get needlessly two mails in two different folders. its easy for me to solve the issue above - i will simply push everything for sa...@lyx to that folder, drawback is that once i stop read the list for some time people wont be able to contact me even when i really should read that... which i dont want to do. > can remove your reply-to-all address (like you did, what did you do > actually ?). Now that I think of it, it's rather strange to complain about > people replying to the reply-to address you provided. actually i think you dont understand my usecase... my intuition is that reply-to should be used only in special cases like the ones i depicted before. another case comming to my mind is when i reply to some very old thread - some web interface wont show this... >>> But if anyone can tell me how to this different in Thunderbird.. >>> >> >> http://alumnit.ca/wiki/index.php?page=ReplyToListThunderbirdExtension ? >> > I will have a look at this, but you can't expect every user on the list to > install mail client extensions to accommodate a few that insist on not > being cc'ed.. i dont insist on anything. i would be just more happy, its up to you if you want to respect it. this is not big issue for me. pavel
