Yes, that's fine. This is often how things happen: One idea gives rise to another idea, which crashes and gives rise to another idea yet.

I can't tell you how many times I've coded something for LyX and then had someone say, "You know, maybe there's a better way to do that". So then I redo it, and yeah, it's better. Or maybe it turns out there's no good way to do it and the whole thing is abandoned. This is normal.

What's so in this case, we'll have to see.
