-------- Original-Message -------- Betreff: once upon a time a fully translated LyX... Datum: Wed, 25 Mar 2009 18:43:05 +0100 Von: Ignacio García <ignacio.dot.gmora...@at@gmail.com> An: lyx-docs <lyx-d...@lists.lyx.org>
The message written by Christian http://www.mail-archive.com/lyx-us...@lists.lyx.org/msg72309.html makes me think... once upon a time a fully translated LyX... I collaborate in the translation of some help manuals and the gui. The po file is fully translated by now. However, yet some strings and messages are untranslated in the Spanish GUI: File->Open : the dialog says "Look in:" Just below "Look in:", the directories list, right-click shows "Remove"; on the right panel, right-click shows a box with "New Folder" If I want to delete the "New Folder" the alert message is "Are sure you want to delete...?" At last, trying to rename a folder with bad name, shows a warning window saying "Invalid filename" and the whole window content "The name ..can't not be used. Try using ... ... marks" In math mode, with the cursor inside the formula, the messages in the very bottom bar appear in English: "Type:equation" "Font:..." "Symbol:..." The latex errors window: "Undefined control sequence" and the popup "Selecting an error .... occured." All the function names in Preferencies->Shorcuts The shortcuts in the manual can not be translated... And so. On the other hand: Make it sense to aim for a full translation as always LyX will run on LaTeX, which never will be translated? Always a LyX user must to know, at least, a little English? I think so. Best regards Ignacio García
