FYI:
In 1.5.7, the screen scrolls half a screen.
In 1.6.1, the screen scrolls one line.
In most apps (TextEdit, TeXShop, Smultron) it scrolls half a screen.
In some other apps (TextWrangler, Word) it scrolls one line.
Personally, I prefer the 1.5.7-behaviour (recenter on screen).
