I threw it but in the meantime Enrico pointed me to this: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.editors.lyx.devel/115363/focus=115526 The new file issue doesn't occur here with Qt 4.5.0 and msvc2008. But the second issue is a big problem: - Open a file and use the view source window - insert a formula -> LyX hangs This inly happens when compiling against Qt 4.5. So I'll downgrade to Qt 4.4.2.
PS: Why 4.4.2 and not 4.4.3?
