Now: apply your patch Later: rewrite everything :) More seriously, I began to write down something like: $$i input file $$pi path of input file maybe $$fi for full name of input file $$o/$$po for output file $$g/$$pg (or some better chosen letter) for original file. But this makes sense only if we use a somewhat identical notation everywhere. And this means breaking lots of configuration files... So right now my proposal is: do as you prefer, but please document it! JMarc
