Hi, Possibly someone has already considered this, in which case thumbs up for it being developed!
It would be really nice if the navigation menu for lists of figures and equations could (optionally) show a small graphic of the images or equations. For those of us with better graphical memories than memories for words this would greatly speed up the process of searching for a figure/equation. The size of these graphics could be scaled by the width of the navigation menu. Furthermore, it would be helpful if the list of figures and list of labels etc highlighted the figure/label that is nearest to the courser in the LyX document. This way one could preview collapsed figures without temporally uncollapsing one to see what it is.
