Typically Alt+D means Alt plus d. If Shift is needed, it would be
written as   Alt+Shift+D  or similar.

Just ask google for  "Ctrl+V". It is almost always "V", not "v",
even if "pressing the 'v' key without shift" is meant.

So in my opinion we are doing the right thing.
