Maybe it is also related to the libtool version. Is libtool included in
the LyX source, or is that something I should update on my system (If
needed, I can install quite recent versions of whatever, using MacPorts).
I was under the impression that it is picked up by the configure
process.
libtool has known problems with darwin frameworks... One solution could
be to upgrade to libtool 2.2 before 1.6.0. (although I cannot guarrantee
that it will help).
At least on the Mac, it seems to be a non-issue. Deleting *.la in
/qt/lib, and everything seems to be just fine - if I don't forget about
it ;-). IMO no need to mess around before 1.6.0.
I have made various tries to make our build process seemless on the mac,
but eventually gave up every time.
Your tries must have nevertheless been quite successful!
We can build right now the Mac-version with 0 patches to the LyX source,
so you all did very good work in keeping the code compatible to the Mac
- and the Mac folks are very thankful for that !!!

Konrad
P.S. Nevertheless, I just reported this to Qt as suggested by Andre.
