The files are created by hand at each release. There is in particular a link to them in news.inc, for example. In general, it is a good way to keep track of what happens in different versions. Of course, I assume it would be possible to replace that with a call to trac with the proper tag. But it would be slower. The other file that has to be done by hand is i18n.inc. It would be nice to autogenerate it... JMarc
