compiled that the GUI can continue running uninterrupted? You know,

It would be nice to continue working while the LaTeX compiler does its

As Bennett said, this is a known issue, though maybe filing it in
bugzilla would help it not to get lost.
I am pretty sure this is already in bugzilla.
