BTW, Dekel, there seem to be code (in filetool.C and the use of
QuitLyX) that seems interesting for 1.1.5fix too. Do you think you
could make a patch out of it?

Also, I'd be interested by the patch you submitted some times ago to
reduce excessive repainting when using backspace.
