Seriously, it feels quite a bit snappier to me. I haven't measured,
but it starts faster, windows open quicker, scrolling is a bit better.
For whatever reason, a very nice improvement!
It depends on what you are comparing with. We've not done much WRT
performance since 1.5.4. Your speed boost might very well come from
Qt4.4. That would be excellent news for Mac users.
Plus: My most hated bug (4630) is gone. :-)
