A related thought. Since there's always a risk of missing an essential
file, would it make sense to automtically include some PDF version of the
document in the bundle? This way the recipient can always read the
document, and compare the results if he so desire. (Heh... maybe we
should LyX-bundles appears as PDF:s, so that any PDF-reader can view them
- that'd be cool but result in large files of course:-( ).
If the recipient has lyx he will be able to read the lyx file.
If the recipient does not have lyx then better send the pdf. Why send
both? :-)
Maybe you don't know for sure which case you are dealing with?
Maybe it's very nice to be able to view the PDF of a bundle several years
down the road, when you don't have the time to make LyX build it properly.
Or maybe you want to be sure that the build result looks similar to the
original PDF.
I think there can be reasons for automatically including a read-only
format. It's another question if it's worth the size of the bundle. Then
again, I don't know the overhead. Since all images are included anyway,
maybe the result is roughly twice as large?
Is it Inkscape that includes a .ps- or .pdf-view in the file?
