I think it would be useful to have "Mailing Lists" in the sidebar named "Mailing Lists / Forum". This is for the same reason that I agree with Pavel on renaming "Visual Tour" as "Screenshots". The LyX-users list is also available through a web-based forum interface through Nabble (I put instructions on http://www.lyx.org/test/MailingLists#toc3 ).
