It is not that easy because you will have to run latex to get the log file, which is not always the case. Also, I do not understand why we should prevent our users from embedding files they want to embed. Sure, they can use lyx as winzip, but that is their business. This will not do any harm, especially these files can not be extracted outside of the document directory (newly proposed solution). Cheers, Bo
