Agreed.

I think it will do. After all, placing an \enspace at the beginning
of a paragraph is not so likely given that TeX does not remove spaces
at the beginning and end of a paragraph, and thus nobody should need
to check "protect". And even if they do, they are warned by the tool tip
(good idea, btw).
