Ok, so no one seems to object to using the wiki engine for the framework.
We also seem to agree on the following:

* www.lyx.org will be replaced by something that uses a wiki engine for
  the CMS.
  It will not look like a wiki, although that's what it actually is.
  All developers will have access to modifying content.

** I'll set up a test framework for us to work in. I'll make it so that
   it'll be easy to set up several sites in parallel, in case we wish to
   try different looks/skins.

* wiki.lyx.org will remain the wiki - there is no integration of content.
  It will be clear what is official and what is community.
  The wiki may, or may not, keep it's current look.

Did I miss something?

I'll figure out a way for me, Rex and Andrei to easily share designs etc. AFAICT, we need to do:

1. Set up a framework
2. Come up with a design (HTML + CSS)
3. Move the old content to the wiki
4. Add or change content

Note that step 2 can be started before step 1, and step 3 can be started as soon as step 1 is done.
