Yes, Typo3 is a great system. However, I think the current server is too slow to handle such a CMS.

I think we should either go for just simple PHP scripts (like we have right now) or a standard open-source CMS. Writing complicated content management scripts ourselves would be a waste of time.

I'm for the KISS approach here, but would also like to suggest that we use some version of the wiki engine with a CMS extension. There are many users that have taken this particular wiki engine and used it as a CMS. The advantage is that I can help with setting it up, and I already know my way around it. And of course, it's quite straight forward to modify content.

The implementation is basically to remove the 'edit' link etc, and only show these for an authenticated user. And of course to choose/create a nice looking skin.

PS. Here are some examples of sites that use it as CMS.

        http://cms.ww-a.de/index.php/Main/WarumPmWiki [*]
        http://www.pmwiki.org/wiki/Cookbook/BlogSkin?view=site

Please note that we can change the appearance just the way we like it, basically I just need a HTML example and the CSS files to implement it. Coming up with nice looking CSS and a good structure is much more difficult of course!

[*] This one actually looked good to my girlfriend who trashed the other sites in he critique.
