I would suggest that you first check out lyx-devel and compile lyx by yourself. Learn how to make changes and submit patches. Many things will come out when you follow lyx-devel mailing list messages. At this stage of development, I think you can test lyx1.6 and report bugs, and document new features of lyx (ask Uwe). On the top of my mind, lib/doc/Shortcuts.lyx needs a lot of work. Bo
