Do you plan to do the same for the toolbar backend?
It seems to have a few more dependencies in the core, I might try
nevertheless.
However, the MenuBackend code is fairly self-contained and a bit more
flexible than what Qt offers, so replacing it all with Qt classes
directly does not realy bring much benefit.
Agreed. I have done some more cleanup so that it is completely self
contained. I'll commit that later. I want to put in more support for
context menu.
