Are you sure? For me it works correctly... weird.
maybe you just need the right recipe.
1. open document (i have splash.lyx here) in normal window.
2. resize the window to minimal width and the height so only few lines
are visible. 3.Now look closely on scrollbar. move with cursor that
the new line must be painted in view and see the resize of scrollbar.

I am not sure this is a screen update problem, maybe a scrollbar
utpdate problem. I'll investigate.
what i know is that the forceupdate call helped previously for this.
This bug is reproducible even without resizing:
1. scroll a bit so that the cursor is not visible anymore
2. hit the keyboard arrow keys to move the cursor or type something
The cursor is not shown as it should.
I fixed this. Very subtle bug... (my fault to begin with).
