i have tested now, that for 1.4 -> 1.5 reconfiguration helped as far as export 
menu concerned.

  
I don't see this. If I take the .lyx directory he sent, put it in place 
of mine, and launch LyX, I get no exports, and reconfiguring doesn't help.

If I just remove the preferences file, that does the trick, even without 
reconfiguring.
