Looks like a perfect document for some profiling to find the
bottlenecks.
Indeed it's quite slow at the end. Will run a profiler tonight. Then
we should know.

Note also that this file does not compile correctly, as I have not
included my preamble (also an extra file). In addition there is a bug
with the index-insets, which also causes Latex-errors. But I will

that seperately. I think this should not matter for the slowness
problem.
You need to go to a later section, in order to discover the problem:
For example, navigate to appendix C (Bianchi identities for the
torsion), click into the first equation, and try to type.
