Right, separate functions is what we should aim at.

This should be a mid-term goal. You, as a proponent of char attributes
(for spelling, styles, etc) should be interested in doing that ;-)
Yeah, sure. I'll probably get to it around 1.8 or 1.9... ;)
The truth is, I still haven't made up my mind as to whether Language and
Font should really be separate or not. So I can go either way at this
point. If/when I take a better look at this issue, maybe I'll clean this
up... For now, I'm content with the fact that my current fix is acceptable.
