I did this: I have the following files in the same directory: designer.exe designer.exe.manifest QtDesignerComponents4.dll QtDesignerComponentsd4.dll QtDesigner4.dll QtDesignerd4.dll the files are from ftp://ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/contrib/lyx-windows-deps-msvc-qt4.zip When I start the designer.exe, I get the attached error message, that is in English:"Application could not be started because the application configuration is incorrect. Try to reinstall the application to solve the problem."
Could you alternatively send me your Qt 4.2 designer.exe and the *.dll files? Maybe it works with your versions.
