I can here run 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 version of the Designer concurrently without problem. You just have to make sure that the binary lies in the same directory as the associated libraries.

Could you send me a Qt 4.2 designer.exe for Windows to test? The Qt 4.2 I have was build by Bo or Joost using MinGW (I think).

I don't think so. They used MSVC AFAIK.
