You can things will be taken by OK, Cancel buttons? That is important.

Linux, x86_64, RHEL4, qt422.  I can only enter keys with modifier
(Alt, shift and control), and the second modifier key symbol will
replace the first one.

I modified your original patch because of this, maybe you can compare
mine with yours and see what is going on.
