Hi,
I've refactored the AMS-related layout files distributed with LyX
1.5.1, also fixed some bugs in the process. Some annoying problems, like
incorrect numbering of theorems within chapters, have been resolved.
The changes have been done initially for LyX 1.4.3, so I consider
this pretty "stable" (several mathematical documents are rendering
without problems after these corrections, tested on WinXP Pro PL 16-bit,
LyX 1.4.3-1.5.1, MikTeX 2.5-2.6). I am unaware of any regressions, but
this applies only to my limited needs. Of course, further testing is
always recommended.
Additionally, I have done a Polish translation of these layouts
(with a prefix "_PL_"), should be almost correct. I am not really sure
whether this is really needed, it works for me, but is there any
other / "less hackish" way to produce non-English documents in LyX?
I mean, is there any obvious way to support multiple languages in a
single layout file? I know this is not very precise question, so maybe I
will rephrase it somehow: the following statement is from the
"Development News":
"Lars Gullik Bjonnes has been working on a patch so that, finally,
labels such as "Chapter" and "Subsection" are translated to the document
language inside LyX as well as in the final document [...]". Is there
any progress with that? I am curious, because the ams* styles are
ignoring the language selected, it is always English, so I had to
develop the _PL_ layouts.
