There are two possible anwers to this, depending on the philosophy: a.) LyX isn't a word processor b.) LyX (if you disagree with a.) I already told you about the concept of physical vs. semantic/logical markup, and I won't repeat myself. The fact that other apps chose to mix these concepts is no argument why we shouldn't do better. Jürgen
