Do you use routinely different line spacings on different paragraphs?
Me no but I do know some people that do.

Did you read the links I posted earlier? The subject is exactly the
features that are useful because we know people using them.

I'll have a look.

But then it would be much easy to modify these settings. Why would you
want to let people go wrongly that way. In a dialog at least you know
this should be a less common task that in the toolbar. There's some
contradiction in what you are saying here.

But we have had that for ages in the dialog form. This is how LyX
always worked. You main point, as I see it, is that keeping a dialog
open is not convenient in fullscreen mode.

Yes, for me dialogs bigger than the label input dialog are cumbersome because I always have to move them to see what's underneath. The paragraph dialog fall in this case.

I understand this problem,
but I do not think your solution is the right one. And I do not think
we should change the way non-maximization people work because of the
problems of the maximization people.

I agree and that's why the floating feature of dock widget is nice.

Besides how would you design an icon to reset the justification to
"default" as this ought to be the most important button? No, really,
the radio buttons are much more expressive here.

Maybe have all buttons off when the alignment is to default.

But then how would you change the alignment to something else than default? First unchecking the default button and then check one of the other buttons? Not very nice IMHO but why not.

I know you won't listen to any argument I have so I will change the
default to "undocked" for now and

I'd appreciate if you could revert the docking part indeed.

Look at what I've just committed.

We should
however continue to think about what to do to please everybody.

I will forbid the docking in the future. Is that a compromise?

It depends what you mean by forbid. I think docking has its uses.

I mean forbid the docking of this particular dialog.

Abdel.
