I was more thinking in terms of a consistent UI. What I would like to
see is a navigation docked dialog that merges harmoniously TOC,
references list, citations list, error lists and maybe embedding
stuff. The place to go when one wants to go from one place to another.

That would be nice.

I guess the toc type combo could serve this purpose. We just need to disable the outline buttons. But we do that already for lof and lot...
