I think I have advanced well enough that trunk is usable again with
regards to painting. Please report (or try to fix ;-)) any problem you
encounter. I have not touched at tabular yet, so maybe there would be
problem there.
You will notice a big change WRT to text inset geometry: if it contains
more than two rows, it will occupy the full screen. I can change that if
you don't like it but I think it make a lot a sense (otherwise I
wouldn't implement it). I for one, hate when the red frame move when I
type; and it's only natural that multiple paragraphs occupies the full
screen width instead of having big empty regions to the left and right
of the inset like we had in previous version.
I think we are not too far from the 3D inset we discussed some days ago.
But I don't have the energy to tackle that now :-(
Anyway, I hope you'll like the new metrics stuff.
