"needaux" works.
Yes, I see, me too. It seems to me that "latex" flag, though it works with oolatex, is wrong, too, and should also be "needaux". I think the "latex" flag is supposed to mean that it IS latex, more or less.
Also, we should probably check for oowriter as a viewer for odt and swx files.
