I'm not sure. I'm trying to argue that this is not really a format
change, because:
(1) all this patch is attempting, is to make sure that the latex output
matches the GUI / internal LyX representation of the document;
(2) I'm not changing anything in the GUI / internal representation of
the document.
The problem is, the latex output currently *doesn't* match the GUI /
internal representation, so this implies that the latex output *will*
change... So does this constitute a format change or not? (see also
http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.editors.lyx.devel/89855, which I didn't
get any responses to...).
If it's agreed that this is *not* a format change, and that I will be
allowed to apply it for 1.5.1, then I agree with Abdel --- it can wait
for 1.5.1. Note, however, that I have another patch which *is* a format
change, so I'd prefer what I suggested in a separate mail --- creating
the 1.5.x branch, but not releasing just yet...
