Unfortunately this is not acceptable. We cannot afford to select only part of what the user thinks he has selected. This is a recipe for data loss.
As I have said in the patch, this is what firefox/linux/xterm does. I am not sure who is responsible for this behavior though. So you are facing three choices: 1. disable this feature like what Abdel does. 2. with this 10 paragraph limit. This looks like a good compromise to me. After all, middle button paste is not supposed to paste huge text. 3. without this limit but with bug 3877 WONTFIX. Maybe you want some lyxrc item select_size_limit=0, that can be changed to something like 10 if someone has a slow computer? Bo
