Here if I type
  dvips -Pl2000 foo.dvi
the output goes to the copier/printer, while
  dvips -Pc2009 foo.dvi
goes to the color laser printer (in case you wonder, the number are
the room where the printer is). There is no need to pass the printer
name anywhere else.

If config.l2000 has the magic line
  o "|lpr -Pl2000"
(which it does), the output will be correct.
