I did, see my last post to the original thread. You might think I'm not good enough to sent patches, but even if my solution was not the shortest possible one, it worked and fixed a real bug. My original commit was approved by José btw.

Sorry, but please don't think that I'm stupid. The bug report contains a testcase and it is obvious that \selectlanguage must not be called when there is no argument for it.
And yes, as you can see from the list, I'm in contact with CJK users. I'll have a look at this bug again. Thanks anyway, I learned from you! regards Uwe
