my choice indeed, and i have good reasons for it. i work on a 12" laptop and 
readability is much better without antialiasing

i think this perfectly illustrates my point:

you don't like it without antialiasing because everything else is antialiased

i don't like the antialiased math because the rest is not

ergo:

we should not mix antialiased with nonantialiased elements
