PS The reason for installing QT4.3beta was to see if it had an
effect on http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3307
the behavior improved with 4.2.3, so maybe...
When you built Qt, did you actually *install* it? (You need to; this
is a change from 1.4 and Qt3.)
