PS The reason for installing QT4.3beta was to see if it had an
effect on http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3307
the behavior improved with 4.2.3, so maybe...
When you built Qt, did you actually *install* it? (You need to;
this is a change from 1.4 and Qt3.)

Yes. Everything according to the INSTALL-file for version 1.5 (with --
with-qt4-dir=/Users/anek/LyX_dev/QT43/). I also tried on two
different machines (trying to compensate lack of talent with brute
force ;-) but the same happened on both.
Does it work for you?
