I'd really like a more descriptive name for the preedit string instead of just 'text2'. 'preedString' perhaps? (or 'preedText')
Ahh 'text3' :-) Better name please.
When the source was reviewed, text2 and text3 were integrated and text2 was made a variable named preeditString because it understood when it was safe even in case of not being. -- M. Iwami
