What have I done wrong? I've not compiled Qt in years.
All fixed. Whew!
Couldn't use the qt.SlackBuild because that blows away the previous
version. But, I looked to see where qt-3.3.7 is installed, and it's in
/usr/lib/qt-3.3.7, with a softlink from /usr/lib/qt.
So, I configured qt-4.2.2 to have '-prefix /usr/lib/qt-4.2.2' and that did
the trick. LyX-1.5svn is happily making now since I included directions to
find qt4's root and the libraries and includes.
Thank you, gentlemen.
I'll take it for a test drive later this weekend and see if I can
replicate Helge's instructions for putting a graphic immediately above the
title.
Since the development build will overwrite the stable installation, I'll
upgrade and rebuild periodically. I'm sure it's usable now.
Carpe weekend,
Rich
