We are actually quite close to these. The buttons, with a background
identical to text background, look like regular text. And we can tweak
individual insets to what it displays.

instead of a border i'd like enclosing '<' '>'
and then underlining steading of highlighting
(and then a different mouse cursor)
i prefer lower case to distuinguish the description from the contents
then in sans to distuinguish it (in addition to color) from regular text
but i am probably pretty alone in my taste here... ;-)
and am playing a bit with the tabular code (merging tabular.h and
insettabular) so have no time to figure out how to do this... :-/
