No, as Martin said, so much has changed in cache handling in 1.5 that it
would be a lot of work to try to correct this in 1.4. This would
destabilize 1.4 way too much I'm afraid.

I have a feeling that if we continue to improve 1.5.x like this, we do
not need any 1.4.5...

It would even make sense that we keep a semi-feature-freeze even after
1.5.0 is released, and pay all our attentions to bugzilla entries.
1.6.0 can wait, maybe till 1.5.2. This can be a bad idea but I just
feel that lyx is already feature-rich, but is in need of a lot of
optimization and bug-fixing.
