I deinstalled LyX 1.4.2 and 1.4.3 and went back to LyX 1.3.7 and the
problems essentially disappeared. I conclude that several bugs must have
been introduced in going from 1.3 to 1.4
Let's hope that we can restore a bit of the speed with 1.5. But
considering your usage I think you'd better stay with 1.3. Maybe 1.6...
or 1.5 if we really work hard to optimize all the bottlenecks. Would you
like to help? Do you know C++? Can you do profiles?
I admit that I have the usual amount of math in my paper, but I should not
need to apologize for that.
Of course not but we do what we can...
Please try the 1.5svn version and help us optimize it if you really want
to see things evolves.
