I put it in Extended.lyx, because the index is documented there and UserGuideNV.lyx is nothing official yet. I did some testing and changes and put it in. I discovered that the latest version of the nomencl package has a chnaged interface, therefore I used that instead of the old one. It is possible to support the old one, too, but I don't think that is is worth the effort. Thwe nomencl stuff is not completely finished yet. For example, the docbook export is missing (I did not want you to remove the commented stuff, but actually implement it!), and we need an icon for the toolbar. I also get warnings like QWidget::setMinimumSize: (QNomenclUi/lyx::frontend::QNomenclDialog) Negative sizes (-1,-1) are not possible on the console. Please have a look at these issues before you do any further multiindex work. What I put in is usable as is, but I would prefer to finish it completely before adding more new stuff. Georg
